Strength & Endurance Coaching Services
The goal for each of my coaching services is to deliver value well beyond your time and financial investment. I never want anyone to feel like they received less than was expected or agreed upon. I try my best to design programs that deliver results and meet the unique needs of every athlete I work with, taking into account personal and endurance goals, injury history, family and work responsibilities, and available time and equipment. That being said, you will get out of this coach-athlete relationship what you put into it. I am confident the program will work if you do.
Why a 3 month commitment for strength and endurance coaching? Like everything in life, training and working with a coach is a journey. You might notice some changes right away, especially if you are new to strength work and structured training. But you can’t expect to be an entirely different athlete after a couple of weeks. Positive adaptations from strength and endurance training take months and years to manifest in your life and performances. I don’t want to deceive anyone with the promise of a quick-fix or short cut. It takes time, commitment, and consistency. I have found that 3 months is a reasonable amount of time for the coach and athlete to really get to know each other and for the athlete to start to noticing improvements in their quality of life and training.
FREE 60-MINUTE CONSULTATION ($80/hour after initial consult)
A no obligation virtual or in-person conversation (preferably at a local coffee shop!) so we can get to know each other, discuss your athletic goals and training, and answer any questions you have about strength or endurance training. Please send me your specific questions ahead of time so I can prepare and make sure we get the most out of our discussion. I will follow up within a week with notes and key points from our conversation and relevant links and resources. Common topics of discussion:
-Review of your current strength and endurance training.
-The benefits of strength training for performance and injury prevention.
-How to balance strength and endurance training with a busy life/work schedule.
-Progressing strength training throughout the year alongside your endurance training and racing.
-What an effective strength workout looks like for endurance athletes (frequency, weight, reps, exercises, etc).
Again, this is no obligation. If you decide that coaching is is not for you or you just need time to think about things after this then that is absolutely fine. You might also find that you get everything you need from this conversation alone. If you decide to go ahead with coaching we can proceed with one of the offerings below.
STRENGTH & ENDURANCE COACHING - $150/month for 3 months, or $175/month
This all-inclusive, holistic coaching option is for individuals seeking the highest level of support and communication, and is ideal for those with busy or unpredictable schedules, ambitious race and performance goals, and those who wish to leave no stone unturned on their strength and endurance journey.
Daily strength, mobility, and endurance workouts built and delivered on a weekly basis through TurnKey Coach, with video links and descriptions for all exercises.
Unlimited program adjustments and communication throughout the week (within 24 hours M-F) and a monthly call/in-person meeting as needed.
Movement screen and capacity tests to identify strengths and areas of weakness to guide training.
Video or in-person review for lifting form and technique as needed.
Minimum 3-month commitment to give the athlete and coach time to learn each other and for training adaptations to occur.
CUSTOM 4-WEEK STRENGTH PROGRAM - $120/4-Week Block
One-on-one coaching isn’t for everyone. The next best thing is a custom training plan. This is perfect for those who want to supplement their endurance training with a customized strength program, but perhaps want something a little more affordable than one-to-one coaching. It is also great for those who want some guidance, but feel comfortable executing the plan on their own without frequent communication with a coach.
Personalized 4-week block of strength and conditioning programming, built around your goals, injury history, and available time and equipment.
Video links and and detailed descriptions for all exercises.
Athlete initiated email communication and program adjustments as needed.
IN-PERSON/HYBRID STRENGTH TRAINING
For those local to the Pioneer Valley, I offer one-on-one in-home personal training using the equipment you have available (plus whatever weights I can fit in my car). In-person training can be especially valuable for individuals who are brand new to strength training and want help with lifting technique before starting on their own, or those who just enjoy or feel more comfortable lifting weights in the presence of a coach.
Hybrid training (in-person personal training 1-2 times a month paired with remote training) is a great option for those who desire to have some of their strength sessions in-person with a coach (to check in on form or learn new exercises, for example) while completing the majority of your training on their own.
